My return to the Beer Bloggers Conference

My return to the Beer Bloggers Conference
For the past two years, I only lived the BBC experience vicariously through the blog and social media posts of my fellow beer bloggers. Over the past two years, I have gained a handsome son (will be 2 by the time the conference starts), and have gone through a shuffling of work environments.
Life happens for all of us, and sometimes it gets in the way of what we love.  That being said, I am anxious to get back on (off?) the wagon…and Asheville seems like a great place to do it.  I truly would have loved going back to San Diego or hitting the ol’ stompin’ grounds in Boston, but I think going to a beer city that I haven’t been to before will force me to realign my palate and feelings for the craft.
The preliminary agenda gathers together some of my favorite speakers and bloggers, and pairs them with key industry players   – both big and small. I am very excited to see the newer breweries from Oskar Blues and Sierra Nevada, but planning to see the wonders of Asheville makes me super-pumped. Thinking about seeing the old crew from BBCs gone by…it almost makes me a little furklempt. While I do stay in touch with many through the major social networks, nothing compares to tasting great brews alongside these hardworking, dedicated people who share your love and passion.
I do not know what my professional future holds, but I know what will be in my BEER future: a set of great memories to be made in Asheville at BBC.
