Lower Lake Brewery Devil Log
STYLE: Smoked Beer
ABV: 4.8%
IBU: 23
AVAILABILITY: 12 oz cans/draft (Seasonal)
Stats above taken from the packaging/website/Untappd.
Appearance
Super pale/straw yellow with a little chill haze out of the fridge, with a thick, foamy, white head.
Aroma
A mix of cigar ash, smoked meat, and teriyaki beef jerky.
Taste
Smoky phenolics lead with some grain notes intermixing.
Mouthfeel
Super light mouthfeel, and dry with foamy carbonation.
Overall
This is definitely a campfire beer that can whet the palate for a nice barbecue meal. Pairing-wise, it is fairly light, so any lighter fare is probably better as a precursor to a full-on meal.
Cheers and remember:
